Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of CloviShield (the "Service") and supplements our Terms of Service. CloviShield is a website security and remediation platform that accesses and modifies connected sites. Because the Service is powerful by design, its use carries strict authorization requirements. Violation of this AUP is a material breach of the Terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination.

1. Authorization Requirement

• You may only use the Service on sites you own, or for which you have obtained explicit, prior, written authorization from the legal owner or authorized administrator to both control and modify the site.
• Authorization must be valid at the time of each scan and remediation and for the duration of any recurring or automated activity.
• You must be able to produce evidence of authorization upon request by CloviShield or any relevant legal authority.
• You must not submit false targets, fabricate authorization, or misrepresent ownership of or authority over any site.

2. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Service to:

• Access, scan, modify, or remediate any site you do not own or are not authorized to control and change;
• Conduct offensive security operations, exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system ("offensive security use" is prohibited);
• Use Service outputs, scan results, or remediation capabilities to facilitate attacks, intrusions, or malicious activity against any party;
• Test, probe, or attack systems, networks, or sites belonging to third parties without authorization;
• Circumvent, bypass, or interfere with the Service's security features, rate limits, or technical limitations;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service;
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its outputs without written authorization from CloviShield;
• Use the Service to harm, defame, harass, deceive, or violate the rights of any person or entity;
• Upload or transmit malware, or use the Service to distribute malicious code to others;
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, including computer fraud, data protection, and export-control laws.

3. Responsible Operation

• Maintain current, working backups of any site before enabling remediation.
• Review quarantine and remediation notifications, and restore any false-positive files within the 30-day restore window.
• Scope or limit automated remediation appropriately for sensitive or production environments where controls are provided.
• Keep your account credentials and any site connectors secure, and report suspected unauthorized use promptly.

4. Enforcement

CloviShield may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and may suspend or terminate access immediately, without prior notice, for any violation. Where unauthorized access or modification of a third-party site is suspected, CloviShield may preserve and disclose relevant records to affected parties or law enforcement and will cooperate with lawful investigations. Violations may also expose you to civil and criminal liability independent of your relationship with CloviShield.

5. Reporting Abuse

If you believe a CloviShield account is being used to access or modify a site without authorization, or otherwise in violation of this AUP, please report it to legal@clovishield.com.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email or in-Service notice. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
